CDI - Capacity Development Integration

Increased awareness in public interest design and the lack of work experience opportunities available to students led to the creation of the Capacity Development Integration programme (CDI) as a means to effectively marry culture and educational curricula.

CDI combines the collaboration between creative mentors and students culminating in dialogue and constructive experimentation geared towards generating socially inclusive results.

AAF and LagosPhoto have always emphasized the importance of public engagement through art intervention in public spaces with the slogan: “Art Reclaiming Public Spaces.” The second edition of CDI involved the commissioning of workshop alumni to design the outdoor and indoor exhibition spaces for the 2014 Festival.

Outdoor Design by: Ososanya Babade and Aiyejusunle Enioluwa (Beni Design Studios)

Indoor Design by: Iskil A. Kuye (Green Architects)
