ATWORK LAB LAGOS 2015 CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

The LagosPhoto Festival & Lettera Ventisette are proud to presents "ATWORK LAB LAGOS 2015" a workshop and notebook exhibition
Theme; Do you Know who i am?

The piercing question "Do you know who I am?" is highly recognisable regardless of accent or location anywhere in the world. And before you turn around or look to see where this direct challenge is coming from, (and who it is aimed at), you know automatically that the person saying this is Nigerian.
How can we relate this theme in our immediate surroundings (Lagos)?
From where does the necessity of affirming our person and identity in the society come from? Is it possible that this necessity comes from the depersonalization that is an inevitable consequence of the megacity growing?
To what extent are our actions motivated by a desire of external recognition?
Interested participants are to send in a write up with a short letter of their interpretation of the theme "Do you know who I am" to martina.o@africanartists.org by October 25.

Date; 27th, 28th 29th October 2015
Venue: A WhiteSpace Lagos, 58 Raymond Njoku Street, off Awolowo road, Ikoyi.
Time: 10am - 2pm daily.
