4 REASONS TO APPLY TO THE LAGOSPHOTO 10TH ANNIVERSARY PORTFOLIO REVIEW

1. Learn

This initiative gives you a singular opportunity to receive a critique from unbiased professionals on your work. Their constructive feedback on the details and execution of your images will be instrumental in pushing your practice as a photographer further.  The portfolio review creates a valuable platform for questions to be posed, answers to be received and new experiences to be established.

2. Participate

LagosPhoto is a platform dedicated to cultivating, promoting and nurturing a community of contemporary photographers both on a regional and intercontinental platform. We are constantly on the lookout for exceptional photographers and talent. Participating in portfolio reviews such as this one, is an instrumental tool in gaining visibility for your work while being an active member of the global photographic community.

3. Exposure

The Portfolio review is a great opportunity to get exposure by having your work reviewed by an esteemed panel of international judges and professional photographers. It also affords the final winner the opportunity to have their work showcased in a solo exhibition at the African Artists' Foundation, in Lagos, Nigeria. This year's jury includes  Azu Nwagbogu, Artistic Director of African Artists' Foundation and Founder of LagosPhoto, Maria Pia Bernardoni, world-renowned curator and Louise Fedotov-Clements; Artistic Director of Quad and the Director of Format.

4. Network

Delve into a pool of possibilities with LagosPhoto, enjoy access to our network of skilled photographers, local and international curators, organizations, partners and sponsors.

The deadline for submission is midnight, 10th October! To apply, send us a coherent and consistent body of work in a single file pdf to LPreview@africanartists.org for a chance to present your work to our Jury.
