African Artists' Foundation
Mo Ibrahim Foundation and LagosPhoto Foundation

LagosPhoto 2016 cordially invites you to a celebration of the MyAfrica photography competition, on Saturday 5 November, at 6pm, at AAF Lagos in Victoria Island.

See more than 100 of the best images submitted to the competition organised by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, which promotes African development, with a special emphasis on good governance, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary. Photographers whose work made it into the foundation's MyAfrica book will be present as VIP guests.

The competition sought to encapsulate what Africans feel will shape their continent over the next decade across different themes of the foundation's work. These themes include: safety and the rule of law; participation and human rights; sustainable economic opportunity; and human development. A final set of images, grouped under the label African Spirit, fall outside the themes of the foundation's work and express something more than can be measured in more academic categories.
