TITLE: LOOKING FORWARD

Exploring LagosPhoto Festival’s 2015 theme, ‘Designing Futures,’ The New York Times Lens blog curated a selection of images by photographers whose work from Africa has been published on Lens. While conflicts centered around religion, politics or personal identity may arise in different regions of Africa, the work of our nine featured photographers showcases communities captivating stories of courage, resilience and hope for a better future.

EXHIBITING PHOTOGRAPHERS: Katie Orlinsky, Glenna Gordon, Joao Silva, Sipho Mpongo, Sam Phelps, Andrew Esiebo, Robin Hammond, Zara Samiry and Carolina Arantes

CURATED BY: Whitney Richardson, Producer of The New York Times’ Lens Blog
